Walking in Character
12-14th March 2014, 3 Piccadilly Place, Manchester
Walking in Character was made in response to a month long residency in China. It explores my experience of trying to go about my day-to-day life in a place where I could not read or speak the language.
As I climb in and out of the 3D ' Chinese Character grid' trailing a line of wool behind me I create a 3D 'text' that becomes more and more tangled and difficult to negotiate.
Walking in Character was performed as part of W0budong.
