Fast Thing (筷子)
First performed May 2013, 501 Artspace, Chongqing, China, as part of Breathe art residency.
The piece is inspired by Chinese water calligraphy and my experience of living in a place where I could not understand, read, write or speak the language.
I walk with two giant 'chopsticks' that I intermittently dip in a bowl of water leaving a trail of illegible 'text' behind me.
